King Khalid International Airport, managed and operated by Riyadh Airports Company, has announced record-breaking statistics for July 2025, reflecting exceptional daily and monthly operational performance.
On Thursday, July 31, the airport welcomed 142,538 passengers, marking the highest single-day operational figure in its history. These numbers contributed to the monthly statistics, with the airport serving 3.9 million passengers across 26,000 flights in both domestic and international terminals—making July the busiest month ever in terms of passenger volume and flight operations.
Mr. Ayman bin Abdulaziz Abu Abah, CEO of Riyadh Airports Company, expressed his delight at this milestone, stating that it reflects the rapid growth in travel demand and the efficiency of the operational system in handling peak seasons. He added that these figures demonstrate Riyadh Airports’ commitment to meeting the highest standards in airport management, operational excellence, and passenger service.
Mr. Abu Abah emphasized that these achievements align with the airport’s strategic vision as the gateway to the capital, contributing to the national development goals and the strategic objectives of the Saudi civil aviation sector, both locally and globally, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
It is worth noting that the previous record for single-day passenger traffic at the airport was 131,691 passengers, set on August 1, 2024. This year’s figure represents an 8% increase, highlighting the airport’s accelerated growth in operational activity within just one year.
